About Us
Eastern Carolina Driving Institute is licensed by NCDMV School Bus and Safety, bonded and insured. We service the following counties, Halifax, Northampton, Edgecombe, Nash, and Vance. Our core values are simple: help teens and adults build real-world skills and confidence, so they’re prepared for the road, not pressured by it. Combined experience of over 25 years all Instructors are certified by the state of North Carolina DMV.
Eastern Carolina Driving Institute was created to serve students who need clear instruction, real-world practice, and have instructors’ who truly cares. We teach with patience and respect, while maintaining high standards for safety and skill. We work with teens and adults, including anxious drivers, and we specialize in road test preparation. Our lessons are tailored to meet students where they are. Our goals are always the same: for students to leave knowing they may not know everything yet, but they have enough to begin their driving journey with confidence.

Katrina Dailey
Owner/Instructor
Katrina Dailey is a native of Halifax County and a Certified Drivers Education Instructor by the State of North Carolina DMV. With 10 years of experience as an over-the-road (OTR) truck driver , Katrina is also Lead CDL instructor at Halifax Community College in Halifax County. Other certifications include NSC- Defensive Driving Instructor and Certified Truckers Coach through Life Coaching Institute of Orange County. She trains teens, adults, anxious drivers, and provides road test prep.
